Over the years I have shown this chart to hundreds of people: men and women, Christians and non-Christians. More than 95% of the time people choose the right set as the best representation of true Christian values.
I culled these lists from chapter 1 of the best seller Men are from Mars, Women Are from Venus. The left Set includes the values of Mars, while the Right Set includes the values of Venus. What's clear from this exercise is that when most people think of Christ and His followers, they think of feminine values. People think of Jesus as having the values that come naturally to a woman. Thus, true disciples of Jesus should adopt values that are commonly found in women while rejecting those most often found in men.
Men are changed by what they experience, not necessarily by what they are told.
A woman is much more valuable in church than a man because her natural gifts and life experiences enable her to fill so many slots.
A man may not feel complete until he has left his mark on the world. The dark side of this tendency is that men get wrapped up in their careers and neglect their families. They scar the earth and forget to build relationships.
Women want safety, but we need risk. We need men to lead us to greater adventure.
Men need vision-notjust relationships-to stay motivated in church.
men are dying for a leader. Every man, regardless of his age, needs another man to look up to and say in his heart, I want to be like him.
